Hijack alert...
@Logicwrath will the phone still get it's other programming from the advanced provisioner, and if a change is done in advanced provisioner, would the phone take those changes?
Trying to understand the Custom Config URL options a little bit better...

It works for me when I have tried it. I believe the default behavior will pickup a call from a ringing BLF. Additionally, you can transfer a call, and the grab it back while its ringing. At least this has worked for me with Yealink phones.
Same here on the Yealink Phones.

I added 3 new phones yesterday and the MAC's were added to the RPS automatically...
@Plau also did some testing.
Since the system no longer Steals the MAC addresses, Could you have the MAC's already in the RPS, under another account? If you don't have access to the RPS, could your destributor have added the MAC's added to the RPS already?

@Darren Schreiber ? on the new billing.
I just saw the 8/21/2018 Webinar, which stated that the new billing system will be on October 1st 2018 now.
So, I get billed on September 10th for the Sept 11th - October 11th (it might be Sept 10th - Oct 10th...don't know).
My question is. Will I be getting a credit that first time on October 1st, since I have already paid for October 1st-10th/11th?
That would be 1/3 paid for already in October based upon my Charges on Sept 10th.
I have not seen this question broached in any of the webinar's (it might have been, and I missed it), can you respond to this?
Thanks,

As of late, entering a new yealink device in smartpbx or advanced provisioner doesn't automatically add it to yealink's RPS anymore.
Has something changed?
@Plau Would you have any thoughts on this?

Integrations with brand's respective "zero touch provisioner" systems. This allows for true plug and play.
Looks like @2600hz listens to you @Mark Diaz since they got it done with the Yealink RPS platform!

As you know new Yealink ip phones T58A and T58V can support third party apps.
Would be nice if we would have option in advanced provisioner to add link for android apps, also remove them as well.
pm.version = special
app.install_url =app.uninstall_url =
Could this conceivably be done with the Custom Config URL?
U put in the additional URL to the config file, that has the items mentioned above...
On a side note, what type of Apps have you gotten working on the phones?

@Mark Diaz cool cool
@extremerotary Just the option to fax from 1) Fax Manager APP, or 2) User Portal.Since the Fax Manager/User Portal App, would be https:// that would allow for some security.
-
Who wants to have the Fax Manager App to allow for Outgoing faxes?
esoare
p.s. I would also suggest that the Incoming and Outgoing Faxes only be saved/kept in the Fax Manager, due to HIPPA requirements. No un-encrypted PDF's flying across emails.

It's not possible to allow the account to go negative with a period to cure.
I like your #2 suggestion. What we could maybe do is pre-charge your credit card a few days before the actual billing date under the assumption that you won't increase services very much between the pre-bill date and the actual bill date. Or perhaps allow you to set the date that the system will try to add funds to your account in anticipation of covering the next month's charges.
Allowing to set the date is cool. I prefer like 7 days ahead (but that's just paranoia me)
Also, emails at day 5,3,2,1 IF the amount in the account, isn't enough to cover the expected monthly charge. (Better an email, than having to call us all! )
p.p.s. I know some people have "Succession Planning" but what if some whitelabeler's doesn't have a plan if they are, I/E: I croak and my card is...well, I better get to that soon, eh!

Thanks for adding to helping others in the community @Baze!!

@Jack Noe I know that the "Wireless Caller" is the default Name by various Wireless Carriers. So the name is working...
I know that doesn't answer your question of how to change the name to the phone number. But thought I would mention it.

I have a new Kazoo 4.2 Install and am trying to get BLF on mailbox via *98 + mailbox number working.
I assume that I could use this feature to see if a voice mail message has been left in another users voice mailbox.
If User 1002 has a BLF key for *981001, when a message is left for User 1001 the VM light on User 1001's phone comes on, but the BLF key on 1002 does not change.
Am I mis-understanding how this should work ?
Hello @brourk . So the BLF works with "Presence ID"'s. If you are using Advanced Call Flows, you can see that in the User
and Device.The BLF also works with the Park Slots such as *31 (park slot 1). There isn't a GUI interface for those, it just works when they are used.
IF you a are more of a API / Programmer type, below are references on Presence and other helpful information.
I took a look at docs.2600hz.com at the Presence section, and don't see a mention in that for Voicemail boxes. https://docs.2600hz.com/supported/applications/crossbar/doc/presence/
Both the User https://docs.2600hz.com/supported/applications/crossbar/doc/users/
and
Devices https://docs.2600hz.com/supported/applications/crossbar/doc/devices/
have the presence_id in the Schema,
While
Voicemail https://docs.2600hz.com/supported/applications/crossbar/doc/voicemail/
does NOT have the Presence_ID capability.
Hope that helps out with your Kazoo Journey!

Wow, just tried this and it works! Awesome!!
Thanks!
However you need to press 0 before the recording starts, during the greeting message. When recording starts the only options are 1 (save recording), 2 (listen to recording) & 3 (record again). Would be nice if 0 worked here also...What would be "nicer" is to have a voicemail operator, so that it goes to a specific, callflow/user/device..etc... This way, it would allow accounts that have multiple companies, not to "leak" into another companies Main_Callflow

@ryan@m2sintegration.com Thanks for:
A) Confirming resolution
B) Stating where the problem was
even though it's tough, Admin configuration issues that are identified on a question, helps out with
a) we know it's not in the service
b) gives us other Admin's a heads up on what NOT to do.
Thanks again @ryan@m2sintegration.com

He is referring to the app that lets you activate cell phones on the sprint network. This is not a OTT Android/IOS app if that is what you were thinking. Additionally, I think all available apps are active on sandbox without any special requests other than getting sandbox access to begin with.
I tried it from a few different browsers. I'll have to clear my Cache.

@Mark Herbert I see. I guess the reason I mentioned App Exchange, was the fact that would be a way for me to offer it to my customers. I am in the U.S.A. market on the 2600hz Hosted Platform.

So I have a Mobile Device, and when I dial out it shows my business number. "Great!"
But sometimes, I would like my "Personal/Mobile" number to be displayed when I call out to family/friends.
What do you think of a Feature Code, "*1 + 10 digit number" would equal the call going out, using the Mobile Number, versus the Business number?
