  1. Thanks Logicwrath and Karl, It never dawned on me to look in call flows but David pointed that out to me in another post. Problem is resolved thanks for all the help! -Dane
  2. Darren, It looks like I was missing not 1 but 2 things. 1.) I assumed Advance Callflow augmented SmartPBX - not replaced it.   2.) It never occurred to me to look for Caller ID in the Advanced Callflow but now that I understand Advance Callflow is NOT part of SmartPBX I guess it makes sense. I didn't even look at Advanced Callflow beyond what I needed to do with the call flow. Seems to me Advance Callflow is the SmartPBX and SmartPBX would be better named SimplePBX :) I fixed the Caller ID and if it works I'll replace my call flows with groups. And if that doesn't work I'll start over and just do the whole thing in Advanced Callflow. Thank you both again! -Dane
  3. And I see Caller ID under "Advanced Callflows > Users" as well!
  4. Wait! under  "Advanced Callflows > Device" I see Caller ID is that what I've been missing?
  5. I used Advanced Callflows .. I don't see "tools"?
  6. Darren, I'm not sure what you mean by it's the same as before - it's not even close? Before I would have just gone to the device and put the correct caller ID on it.  I keep thinking I'm missing something obvious but if I am I can't imagine what. I want a single user's unanswered calls to ring other users hence a call flow or group but I still want the device to have caller ID. If I could assign a device to a group that would solve my problem I think.  It seems like it should be simple. Create a call flow or have a call flow as user. And give the device caller ID.  The part that has me thinking I must be missing something is groups and call flows seem have very limited usefulness if you can't use them along with your DIDs? The only way I can see to access them is from DIDs and extensions that aren't used elsewhere?  I may try setting caller ID through Kazoo and see if I get lucky otherwise I have to find my client another provider or setup another solution just for them. I do appreciate everyone's help. Thank you, -Dane
  7. I'm still trying to sort out what used to be a simple task. How can I enable caller ID for a user/device when the call is part of a Call Group? For example Joe has his own DID 555-555-1000 and ext has 1000 but when he doesn't answer I want to ring Jeff at 1001 and Sue at ext 1002. Seems simple enough but when I create the group with his extion I can no longer assign his caller ID to his DID (555-555-1000)? Problem is the number is no longer tied to the user but instead it's being used by the group and no longer available? On this note can I use the older portal to set the caller ID or will this break things? -Dane
  8. Hi guys - just to follow up on this  -  I went ahead with combo keys for speed dial pickup and advanced call flows. The client is not happy but is dealing with it. But now my problem is the numbers that I use with call flows no longer have a number assigned so I cannot set up caller ID.  Is there a way to get caller ID working again? Would this work if it did it from the phones web interface directly? Or will the PBX override it? Thanks for everyones help! -Dane
  9. I created Advanced Call flows for some users with DIDs so that the call would go to a Ring Group if unanswered but not I cannot find a way to set the caller ID for those users? Can this  be set some place I cant find? Also I cant send a main number because the main number is also a call flow that goes to a user? Am I missing something with number management? Thanks, -Dane
  10. Thanks Karl - I think that is going to be the plan. I'll combine that with BLF and Parking between the 2 that should work for them.
  11. Thanks Darren, The problem is BLF doesn't ring so they complain that they don't notice it. I'm trying to wrap my mind around doing it with a ring group for every user but I don't think it will work.  I'm working on plan B. Thanks everyone! -Dane
  12. Every users has their own DID so when the phone rings they want to know it's for the boss or secretary and so on? Maybe I am over thinking this? maybe I can just use a ring group for every user and put those on a separate button per phone? It's more complicate than just the secretary and boss but maybe I can do it with ring groups. I assumed adding it to the device would be simple? Thanks again, -Dane
  13. Thanks Karl, Is there anyway to make the BLF ring instead of just blink?
  14. I feel like this is a pretty dumb question but for the life of me I can't figure out how to make a users number ring on another phone. I don't want a ring group but need to add the bosses phone to the secretary's phone as a separate combo key or line? On a Yealink T46 I tried 1.) adding a combo key with type = line, Account = Line 1, Value = Extension of user, Label = user's name and  2.) I tried adding a Line with Sip credentials from the users device (inheriting all other setting) Neither has worked so far - any clue how to add a users number to another phone? Thanks! -Dane
  15. I'm trying to add a new Yealink T46G in the Monster UI for a client that has previously used T32G's manually configured in portal.2600hz.com but the phone ignores provisioning. I assume this is because the account was originally created in the older UI? What is the best way to migrate accounts to Monster?
