Matheus Posted February 25, 2022 Report Posted February 25, 2022 (edited) Hello, I have the following scenario and would like to check its correctness. I have a ring group with 2 devices; A call arrives to this ring group; The first device picks up the call; Another call arrives for this ring group; The second call is rejected with "Busy" signalling. Shouldn't the second call ring the second device in the group? Many thanks. Edited February 25, 2022 by Matheus (see edit history)
Baze Posted February 25, 2022 Report Posted February 25, 2022 Does the first device have call waiting turned off on the phone? It could be responding with a busy- on Yealink for example you can configure how it responds.
Matheus Posted February 25, 2022 Author Report Posted February 25, 2022 (edited) Hi Baze, Thanks for the quick reply! No, actually none of the devices have call waiting turned on. Edited February 25, 2022 by Matheus (see edit history)
Baze Posted February 25, 2022 Report Posted February 25, 2022 Checked with team - should work just fine how you have it. Their thoughts below, but is this an established account, or a newly created 2600 system you are testing? I'd check to make sure that the account isn't set to only have 1 trunk or something Or the call may be getting rejected at the carrier level for the same
Matheus Posted March 15, 2022 Author Report Posted March 15, 2022 (edited) Hi Baze, Sorry for the late response. I managed to get the scenario working with the call_waiting feature and using baresip. The previous client that I was using was not able to use call_waiting I guess. Many thanks for your support! Edited March 16, 2022 by Matheus (see edit history)
