audio delay Bria4 softphones

Customer experiencing audio delay on Bria4 softphones.  Per customer:  Extensions (1001 and 1002) have 9 seconds of silence before any audio comes through the line. If the inbound caller is in mid sentence after 9 seconds, they would have missed out on all that was said previously.

They had set 711u and 711a default audio codecs.  I have just added audio codecs: 722 & 729.  Do you think this will help?

No. A delay in audio is almost always an over-aggressive firewall that is blocking the initial audio packets because it thinks they are an attack. When you say "Bria4 Softphones", is this on a mobile device or a laptop or what? Bria has two types of softphones - one for mobile phones and one for laptops / desktops.

In both cases, my suspicion is:

1) You've manually provisioned the device and it's not using port 7000. Try adding :7000 to the proxy address you've configured, or if you didn't use a proxy, the realm/server your configured of the customer's.

2) You should make sure "RPort" is checked in the advanced / Transport section of the phone's configuration.

This is Bria4 softphone on pc.  The RPort is checked by default in Bria4 install.  We noticed today that Bria4 softphone on Windows 8 pc works fine but on two other Windows 7 pc's is where they are experiencing audio delay.
