Hi everyone,

In an effort to improve the performance of call
pickup on certain Yealink models, we've identified that Yealink phones
provisioned with our new provisioner are using firmware too old to support our
"fast-pickup" feature (which reduces the amount of time it takes to
pickup a call that has been parked to roughly under one second). The older
firmware doesn't do this, so picking up parked calls takes many seconds when it
could be much faster.

After much research and testing we've narrowed
down the cause to a specific issue in Yealink's firmware on T22, T26 and T28
model phones and T4x series phones running firmware version x.72.0.xx to
x.73.0.50 or x.80.0.95.

We've done some initial testing with a few
customers and in our lab and the new firmware appears to work well and doesn't
break any other features. Thus, we're scheduling a maintenance for tomorrow
night, May 6th, 2016 after 5pm Pacific, to roll out the new firmware to Yealink
phones. Yealink phones will typically pick up this firmware update within 24 hours.

The specific models
affected are the following:

T22, T26
and T28 from x.72.0.80 to x.73.0.50

T4x
series from x.72.0.xx to x.80.0.95

This update should be
transparent to most users, but if you have any issues with it, please let us
know.

Thanks for sharing Issac. The Yealink support site shows the most current firmware for the T28P is x.73.0.50. Is the firmware you are referencing even new than that? If so, will it be posted to their site or somewhere else for manual upgrade?
