Rick Guyton Posted June 13, 2019 Report Posted June 13, 2019 So, this sounds like it should be stupid easy, but I can't figure it out. When a user dials into VM (aka uses *97 to retrieve VMs) how can they get the caller ID info for the voicemail that was left. I can't for the life of me figure this out.
Baze Posted June 13, 2019 Report Posted June 13, 2019 (edited) If you find out let me know! We actually have this on our radar to try and develop because I don’t think it is possible now. Edited June 13, 2019 by Baze (see edit history)

Baze Posted June 13, 2019 Report Posted June 13, 2019 We actually have a client where we route them to asterisk for voicemail as a workaround. lol. Can’t remember why vm to email doesn’t work for them. No speakers or something but yeah. We basically route out to asterisk for vm and do it that way. Pita.
Administrators mc_ Posted June 27, 2019 Administrators Report Posted June 27, 2019 @Rick Guyton are you thinking there should be a menu option during playback to read back the caller id number?
Rick Guyton Posted June 27, 2019 Author Report Posted June 27, 2019 Just now, mc_ said: @Rick Guyton are you thinking there should be a menu option during playback to read back the caller id number? Yea, @Karl Anderson confirmed for me at KazooCon that there's not though. Said he might sneak in a PR that enables this shortly though.... So here's hoping!
Baze Posted June 27, 2019 Report Posted June 27, 2019 That'd be great! Either an option or it just reads the caller ID.
Rick Guyton Posted July 31, 2019 Author Report Posted July 31, 2019 @Karl Anderson Thanks a bunch! It looks like the callback feature is working on option 9 now! Would it be possible to get the VM instructions to list off this option? I notice that option 4 to go back and option 6 to go forward a message also aren't on the VM instructions. EXTREMELY helpful either way, thanks again!
