Slack Notifications ?

Has anyone put missed call notifications into an email and or to slack or some third party notification system ? 

Or has anyone setup slack with a dialer to take calls in and out of Slack ?

Not just slack...missed call notifications would be great emailed too! Maybe like a daily report or something, or on a per-call basis.

What would you specifically want this to do?

A daily report requires keeping a counter across the whole system so is actually more expensive. A real-time notification each time a call is missed, however, seems easier.

I assume it would be:

* Portal where you can specify a phone number and the Slack account and channel it links to
* A setting which decides what you want to print out (i.e. answered call, received call, missed call)?

Okay, so how about just an email notification if a device doesn't answer a call? (NO_ANSWER or something I think...)

I guess this would get messy with ring groups though...the "ignore completed elsewhere" option doesn't seem to consistently work with all phones.

Why not just use WebHooks and link it to a 2 or 3 line script that sends an email to your customer then? This would be the simplest and most customizable solution I could think of...

I guess that would work, I just didn't think about it from that side. I was thinking about something moreso built in.

I think if the notifications can be emailed out then slack can use the notify component we have that setup for our Zendesk and a few other apps we like to get notified on.
