Marie Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 Our new customer needs a convenient way to record their greetings over the phone for Call Flow greetings/media that change frequently. Is there a way to do this? They use mp3 files for their standard greetings that do not change. On their old phone system, they are able to record greetings over the phone and need a way to do this on Monster PBX.
2600Hz Employees Katie Orton Posted June 3, 2015 2600Hz Employees Report Posted June 3, 2015 Hi Marie, are you referring to Smart PBX or Advanced Callflows? This can be done in Smart PBX under "Incoming Call Handling," you have an option to record over the phone. If the callflows were created in the Advanced Callflows app, each menu will have a unique PIN that you or your client can use to call in and record the greeting. Hope this helps!
Marie Posted July 13, 2015 Author Report Posted July 13, 2015 Customer says their recording is not being played after recording it. The ICH is still using the Text to Speech Greeting. How can we switch to the Recorded one in Monster UI? There is no indicator working for this and we cannot change back an forth as to which on to use.
2600Hz Employees Kristin Muramoto Posted July 13, 2015 2600Hz Employees Report Posted July 13, 2015 Hi Marie,Thank you for the additional information. We'd like to try recreating this on our end. We'll let you know how it goes as soon as possible.
2600Hz Employees Kristin Muramoto Posted July 27, 2015 2600Hz Employees Report Posted July 27, 2015 Hi Marie,I tested this in an upcoming version release, and the very last greeting recorded or saved will be the greeting used. Within Virtual Receptionist, the greeting used will also be highlighted, indicating which file will play when called.NOTE:By default, you can only record a Virtual Receptionist greeting, over the phone, by using a phone configured within the account. If you'd like to record the greeting using a phone outside of the account, you'll need to go to Advanced Callflows App>Menu>select Menu you'd like to record greeting over the phone for>Advanced>Options tab>enable Allow outside recording.Hope this helps!
