Jeff Kuei Posted October 29, 2015 Report Posted October 29, 2015 It would be great to be able to add dialing rules to the auto provisioner. For our yealink phones, we add a dialing rules to prepend the local area code if the customer dials 7 digits e.g.455-1231 automatically becomes 310-455-1231
Guest Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 I don't know how to add rules to provisioner, but Kazoo prepends the area code automatically if you have caller ID set up properly.
esoare Posted November 2, 2015 Report Posted November 2, 2015 I agree with Casey Boyd. If you have the CLID setup right. The 7 digits sent from any phone, will automatically have the Area code added, before being sent out to the carrier.
2600Hz Employees Aaron Gunn Posted October 21, 2016 2600Hz Employees Report Posted October 21, 2016 Hi Jeff,There is some documentation here on Caller ID prepend. Does that help? https://github.com/2600hz/kazoo/blob/...
Tuly Posted October 21, 2016 Report Posted October 21, 2016 I was going to ask the exact same question, the 7 digit dialing only prepends the "current area code of the outbound caller ID, " I think they're should we be a way to define what area code should be prepanded when dialing 7 digits, We have a lot of customers calling out with their toll free area code number, or calling out with main office number ,. but they still want to have a different area code when dialing seven digit numbers,
