Mads Mortensen Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 we have a lot (lot lot) customers asking if there is any possilbility to integrate with Skype/Lync somehow.Any hints, advice & just good inputs?
Logicwrath Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 I know Yealink has handsets that are certified for Microsoft Lync. I have not purchased one so I can't speak to how else they are different. However, I do believe they will show you the contact list and allow you to call contacts.Example: http://www.yealink.com/product_info.aspx?ProductsCateID=1312It would be nice if someone could explain the difference in the firmware. My distributor actually sells the Lync versions for $10 cheaper than the normal version of the phone. If everything is the same and it only "adds" Lync/Skype support, then maybe I should start buying those versions instead since we sell a lot of Office 365.
Mads Mortensen Posted October 13, 2016 Author Report Posted October 13, 2016 I should have explained more :)We are a MVNO (SIP MVNO) - that means our customers have more mobile phones, than IP phones, and they typically use Skype on their computer, and would like us to intergrate with the Skype, so they can have Mobil, KAZOO and SKYPE in one beautiful solution
Administrators Darren Schreiber Posted October 13, 2016 Administrators Report Posted October 13, 2016 Skype keeps their stuff proprietary. Lync is a different story. With Lync it can just integrate with SIP. You treat the Lync device as a SIP endpoint.
Joseph Watson Posted November 22, 2016 Report Posted November 22, 2016 Darren, do you have any examples of this. I was under the impression you has to create a federation and so a TON of additional work to really get things functioning
Administrators Darren Schreiber Posted November 22, 2016 Administrators Report Posted November 22, 2016 Are you talking about Lync, or Skype?
Joseph Watson Posted November 22, 2016 Report Posted November 22, 2016 Lync or Skype for Business (which is the new version of Lync). In both cases, anything you have would be super helpful
Administrators Darren Schreiber Posted November 22, 2016 Administrators Report Posted November 22, 2016 I'll reach out to the folks who integrated and see if I can get more data.
Joseph Watson Posted November 22, 2016 Report Posted November 22, 2016 that would be super great. I have a government contact that could put about 25k devices on my network if I can get support for Lync or Skype for business. Please let me know, I'm willing to $$!
Ron Shoe Posted December 2, 2016 Report Posted December 2, 2016 I'd love some info on how to do this as well.
Mads Mortensen Posted December 2, 2016 Author Report Posted December 2, 2016 Gentlemen, i have found an app/program that lets you integrate Skype for business with SIPhttp://doc.allocloud.com/sites/default/files/SkypeForBusiness_AddOn_3.2.10.exe
Joseph Watson Posted December 2, 2016 Report Posted December 2, 2016 This is great, thank you for Sharing. Can you tell me who makes this application. Thanks,Joe Watson
