I"m trying to basically set up a secretary/Bosses scenario. Could I set up the BLF and call pick up feature in advanced provisioner?

For example, the secretary is ext 100, boss1 102, and boss2 103

What would be the steps to set this up?

Is it possible to set up an SCA scenario using a Yealing T46S on Kazoo's hosted platform?

The Yealink User Guide says it's possible "with a registered shared line". I've tried adding

the same extension for two users but the system wouldn't allow it. 

Any ideas?

The issue seems to be resolved (for me at least). I have 2 phones which I haven't set up any keys on, I was able to add configs via Advanced Provisioner and it took!

The phones which I had set DSS keys on just needed to be factory reset once and it automatically took the settings from Advanced Provisioner.

I haven't checked out what would happen if I try adding a feature on the phone directly which is not set on Advanced Provisioner.

The advanced provisioner page says  "The Provisioner is configured with the following URL: http://p3.zswitch.net/" Is this the correct URL? 

Also, how can I view device logs in Advanced Provisioner? I tried clicking on "view log files" but all I see are lists of one line of data without the ability to click on anything to see details.

Darren - Yes I have restarted the phones.

SierraMSP - Since we seem to be having the same issues, I'll go to my customers office and try out your workflow.

Hello. By "I am unable to make any changes" I mean that I'll try to set up new DSS Keys under Advanced Provisioner>Devices>Confgiure>Combo Keys, then press save but nothing changes on the phone.

I don't see any error on the screen. Is there a place where I could pull up logs?

 

The phones are currently in use, I've set up the DSS Keys manually on the phones itself. If needed I could factory reset the phones, but it will be a bit of an inconvenience, especially if would need to manually

set up the phones again 

 

Yes, this is on 2600hz hosted

Oops, I already went through the Factory reset as soon as I saw your initial response.

With that said, I could use some more tutorials.

1. You generously sent me a picture of how to set up Park via smart pbx, could you advise how I could set up 1 touch park  (account wide)

so that every phone will have 3 park lines (Does a Park line allow outbound calls?)

2.  How could I set up a config file so that if I'm on a call the BLF will go to an attended transfer?

Ok, I'll try that. So factory reset, add a new device and then set up combo keys in Advanced Provisioner.

You mentioned earlier that if you set up a config in Advanced Provisioner and then also in Smart PBX then

Smart will override Advanced. If that happens could I just change Smart back to defaults and start using the

advanced provisioner again?

I haven't been able to make any changes for the Yealink T46S phones. I'm able to add the T46S as a new device to an account, but after that I'm unable to make any changes

to the phones. Can't set up Park, Conference, BLF etc.. Is there a setting I missed or is something down? My customer has been asking me to set up Park and BLF Keys for a couple

of weeks. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what I"m doing wrong, but any changes I try to make via Advanced Provisioner or Smart PBX don't "take", I could only make changes on the physical phone.

On one phone I tried using Smart PBX and on another Advanced Provisioner, pressed reboot and voila, nothing! Smart PBX and Advanced Provisioner show the changes

when I click on the combo keys tabs, but the phones don't update?! Any ideas why I can't remotely change any settings and also why smart pbx and advanced provisioner

aren't accurately showing the DSS Keys on the phones?

I"m trying to white-label with the Kazoo hosted solution. I've contacted Go Daddy multiple times but for whatever reason the only change that is taking hold is adding the sub-domain ie. portal@example.com,

but nothing else is working. I gave Go Daddy the list of configuration details which kazoo provided but it's not working. Anyone have experience working with Go Daddy or any ideas how to get this done?

I'm having an issue setting up the ability for multiple employees to send faxes via Kazoo's e-mail to fax function using the main fax number, which you could imagine is quite important since they ported their fax number away from their fax machine.

I came across a tutorial on-line which showed that when adding a "Main Fax Box Number" there is an option to  allow anyone using the same domain  to have the ability to send faxes via e-mail, but when I add a main fax number the only option I see is the option to add "Inbound Notification Email" (which only allows for one e-mail address, I need to go to to "advanced callflows>Fax Boxes to add multiple recipients) 

I've attached a picture from the tutorial. Any ideas how I could get this option or at least set up the option whereby any e-mail coming from the company domain can send faxes via e-mail?

I do have access to Advanced Provisoner, I only used it to set the device and assign it to a user. 

I manually set up each users extenstion in SmartPBX

Since its a small office the customer wants all the phones the ring simultaneously, but that's just in case the secretary isn't there to answer it.

So this is my set up:

1. I added everyone to a "Group" and set the "Incoming Call Handling" to ring the "Group".

2. On the phone itself manually set up the DSS Keys with everyones extension as "intercom" since they don't want or need the ringing.

This is where I need help (well at least for now)

In the current set up if a call comes in and the secretary answers, there aren't any other "lines" set up for other calls.

She would like the for the "Incoming call handling" to ring a general line (three general lines). "Thank you for calling Kazoo, the number one  retailer of kazoo's in the North East, please hold, call 2 comes in, " Thank you for call Kazoo etc.." If setting up the Keys as "Park" does the job that is fine.

Also, I"m not so familiar with BLF, can it be used in conjuction with an extension set up with lets say "conference"

I guess what I really require - Instructions and/or template on how to set this up in the config file and upload it to Advance Provisioner (I think it need to go to "view config files and make the changes there, but i"m not positive).

Hello. I have 6 phones set up in an office with the first 4 DSS keys set up as an intercom to individual users.

1. I would like to change the first 3 keys to "Line 1, Line 2 and Line 3" (with the call flow ringing all 6 phones as a group)

2. The next few keys would be ext set up as an intercom

3. If possible I'd like to set up some keys that would directly transfer the call to an ext

4. Is it possible to change a users sip username from user_xyz to an actual name ie. "Looney"

 

Question - Can these changes be made in a config file then be sent to all the phones via auto provisioner?

If so, could someone kindly send me a sample config file

[Door Buzzer - Multi Tenant Office]

Hello,

I have a customer who I'm moving over to 2600hz, and one of their needs is a keypad door buzzer. 

This customer also has a few offices they rent out in their building and they would like them to be connected to the doorbuzzer system ie Algo, Cyberdata.

Any idea how I could set this up with the other offices who aren't on 2600hz or even the same network (each tenant has their own fios or cable internet).

I'm assuming its possible to for g722 calls to terminate externally if the provider supports it. But I agree, probably will be G711.

A bit of a tangent, is there a prefered hardware vendor(s) which the community prefers to purchase their phones?

Thanks for the replies, it's tough to gauge without actually having all the phones to test. But I've heard enough good reports about the T46S that it seems I"m going to go with it.

Any particular codec?
