  1. I am trying to have Disa work but I have no luck...

My objective is, that a customer that is outside the office should still be able to call someone and it should come up the “office caller ID”,

    What I’m doing is,

    1)      Call in the office number and press the Disa code

    2)      From Disa call an outside number like a customers or any other number

It always comes up my cell phone number, never comes up the office number, I even tried the workaround from this conversation  https://helpcenter.2600hz.com/2600hz/topics/caller-id-changer

checking or unchecking Keep the original Caller-ID makes absolutely no difference

It defeats the whole purpose of Disa,    am I doing something wrong?

  2. I was going to ask the exact same question, the 7 digit dialing only prepends the "current area code of the outbound caller ID, "

I think they're should we be a way to define what area code should be prepanded when dialing 7 digits,

We have a lot of customers calling out with their toll free area code number, or calling out with main office number ,. but they still want to have a different area code when dialing seven digit numbers,
  3. i know about Grandstream templates, we have about 600 Grandstream phones on our system, but we are having issues with Grandstream-Kazoo, that's why im asking if someone has a "good working grandstream config"

basically the issue we have, that in order for the phone to make calls and not get a "403 No pre-loaded routes" we need to have Remove OBP from Route" set to NO,  but when we set it to NO the phone never sends a BYE to the Proxy, so the call will always keep ringing and then go to VM,

we have tested this with many FW, and have the same results,
  4. i just tested the yealink RPS, and i cannot fine a way to change any setting with RPS, there is no global file option there....... if so what is the purpose of the RPS? to save the 30 seconds it takes to put in the kazoo provisioning server URL?
  5. for voicemail *97 you could call in from outside and the system is asking you for the mailbox number and the pin, that is good, i am sure we can somehow do the same with *72 but i can't figure out, i fact when you dial *72 from outside we are getting a system message "call forwarding is not available on this line" possible we need to allow *72 specifically in the regex of the menu?
  6. not sure about RPS we are not using it yet, (but I'm sure you could)

on yealink we change this line from 3 to 2 and back
    syslog.log_level = 3

and Grandstream we change Anything in this field,
    <P146>GXP1</P146>

(Not every change in a provisioning file will trigger the phone to reboot,  only specific ones like a network change, or core setting changes like the syslog level)

It's not a solution it is just a workaround,  it's so difficult to troubleshoot it because I'm sure there's nothing wrong on the server side,  if there was anything wrong, it would be wrong even after a reboot of the phone,  I'm putting more blame on the phone, but not total blame,  if the phone had an issue with a UDP timeout, or any other NAT router setting,  you shouldn't receive phone calls at that time, or BLF should not work even after a restart, or it should start working again when the phone  resubscribes,
  7. Oh yeah BLF is one of the most hardest issues to troubleshoot,  looks like a small thing but it's really hard to troubleshoot,  I've already given up on the concept of not having BLF issues at all, what we are doing is we are making a change in our yealink Global file, (same on grandstream) one change that requires a phone reboot....  so that way every second or third week all phones are rebooted, on our experience by rebooting the phones once a month we have no BLF issues,

I don't believe this is a router UDP timeout issue if it was your client wouldn't have been able to receive calls
  8. Based on this conversation on how to change caller ID when
    calling out,
    https://helpcenter.2600hz.com/2600hz/topics/caller-id-changer

We are creating a call flow of lest say number 8>Dynamic CLID>Disa but I would like to make sure that no one can dial this call flow “8” from the outside by calling in the IVR, how would I restrict dialing 8 from an IVR with Regex in the advance options of a menu? (but still allow dialing 108)
  9. What is the best way to forward an EXT from outside the office, elets say by calling in the IVR of the company,  for example a customer calls "I would like to forward my extension but I don't have internet access now"  is it possible they should forward there EXT by calling the in the main IVR and pressing a star code? the same is if someone wants to intercom by calling in from outside the office by pressing *0xxx
  10. Has anyone here had success with polycom BLF call pickup that is provisioned with advanced provisioner?

I am testing a Polycom 550 and FLF pickup doesn’t seem to work, instead of picking up the call, it makes a new call to the EXT,

Any setting I need to change on the phone or in provisioning?
