Anthony Goss
Is there a way, yet, to purge a voicemail box of existing messages?
Karl Stallknecht
Log into the user portal for the user that owns the voicemail box. Then you can delete it via the web UI instead of pressing 7 a million times :-)
Adam Greenberg
It would be nice to masquerade inside of user accounts , a lot of my customers don't even use the user portal so I have to set a temporary password login and help delete their voicemail messages... Karl Stallknecht
There might be a way to do it with the API, but right now we just go into the user portal for the said voicemail box. That being said, it is a pain if we have to check a lot of voicemail boxes.
Administrators Darren Schreiber Posted March 29, 2016 Administrators Report Share Posted March 29, 2016 You can login as the user and then use the user portal to mass delete. But why not just check the box to delete the voicemail after sending an email?
Karl Stallknecht
If your system has a problem emailing it (which it has in the past) then the voicemail gets "stuck" in the voicemail box.
Administrators Darren Schreiber Posted March 29, 2016 Administrators Report Share Posted March 29, 2016 That is true, but this post makes it sound like you are having to delete hundreds of voicemail messages?
Karl Stallknecht
If each account has 10 voicemail boxes and you have 20 accounts, that's 200 users to go reset passwords for and log into their individual user portals to check and see if there are voicemails. Quite a pain...
Administrators Darren Schreiber Posted March 29, 2016 Administrators Report Share Posted March 29, 2016 But this problem doesn't seem chronic? We've probably had 3 or 4 voicemail to email delivery issues in the past 6 months, which lasted several hours. Your client received 200 messages in just a few hours? Karl Stallknecht
Even 1 hour of problems means we have to check every client's voicemail box for them. That's still 200 voicemail boxes to check.
Karl Stallknecht
And I'm just using these figures as examples, I don't know how many voicemail boxes we have total across all of our accounts.
Administrators Darren Schreiber Posted March 29, 2016 Administrators Report Share Posted March 29, 2016 OK, so then perhaps we just need an account-wide mailbox manager?

Adam Greenberg
Maybe a manager role with access to user portals and end user settings
Administrators Darren Schreiber Posted April 11, 2016 Administrators Report Share Posted April 11, 2016 We're currently playing with ideas of a media, voicemail and/or fax management portal based on the energy on this and the fax thread, FYI.
