Joy
Tried to auto-provision using p3.zswitch.net on polycom IP 450 and nothing happened. I ended up reverting to prv.zswitch.net.
Michael D
Joy, do you have other polycoms that provision ok (like 550 and 335)?
Joy
Hi Michael,I am to test it out on Polycom 550 today to see if I will have the same issue.
Administrators Darren Schreiber Posted May 18, 2015 Administrators Report Share Posted May 18, 2015 Joy, When you say you "switched back" to prv.zswitch.net, that's kind of a red flag. Devices built in Monster will be provisioned via p3.zswitch.net . Devices built in Kazoo UI will be provisioned with the old prv.zswitch.net . Where did you actually build the device? The two URLs are not interchangeable.
Michael D
Joy, Here is what worked for me: 1-Delete the phones from the Kazoo UI (if they are provisioned there) 2-factory default the phone 3-enter the p3.zswitch.net for the provisioning server: 4-follow this: https://2600hz.desk.com/customer/port... Important: make sure the tag SN set to UA is set to enabled Hope this helps MD
Joy
Hi Michael, Thanks. We actually tried provisioning Polycom 335 and 550's today on Monster UI. What happened is that we need to reboot it twice, for it to get configured on p3.zswitch... Have you experienced the same thing as well?@Darren Yep, I did create the device on Monster UI.. Then deleted it in there and re-built it in Kazoo.
Michael D
Joy, depending on the state of the phone (old firmware, factory defaulted, or pre existing config) I have seen similar behavior when the phone had older firmware and goes through at least 1 reboot I'll pay attention to it going forward MD
Marie
So phones do not have to be SIP? IP will most likely work as well as SIP?
Michael D
Marie, I believe only phones with the SIP protocol work on the 2600hz hosted platform > Some vendors like Cisco and Avaya have IP Phones with proprietary protocols (SCCP, etc) Sometimes the phones can be loaded with SIP firmware (Cisco 7900 series phones) and can register as SIP MD
