As of now, I am adding a device and assigning it the phone number of the answering service. This costs a device license so I am wondering what others have done to maybe bypass having to charge the client for another license. Thanks for any feedback you have! FASTDEVICE Posted November 27, 2015 Report Share Posted November 27, 2015 As a technical note on landline devices, consider increasing your ring timeout to 50 seconds. It seems to be the sweet spot for many answering services and especially iphones--of course mileage will vary. Additionally, many after hours services can recognize the callerID and route the call accordingly. Therefore, check/ uncheck the "Keep Caller ID" as required by the answering service. I fear I'll need to charge my customer double (or lose money) by using a land line as a "device." Any official word on if forwarding to a land line is a billable entity?
