Michael D Posted May 21, 2015 Report Posted May 21, 2015 Had a few customers ask about the ability to barge into calls and to use silent monitoring of calls Does 2600hz have these features? Caller A barges into Caller B's phone call Caller A listens to Caller B's phone call Thanks
Karl Stallknecht Posted May 21, 2015 Report Posted May 21, 2015 I asked 2600hz about this a long time ago and they said they had no plans for adding this in the future...curious if there have been any updates :-)
Michael D Posted May 21, 2015 Author Report Posted May 21, 2015 Some of the Avaya and Cisco enthusiasts love to ask about this feature. (even though they do not use it)
Karl Stallknecht Posted May 21, 2015 Report Posted May 21, 2015 The only thing I like about Cisco Call Manager is the default hold music:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5ZvUYhIeoQ:-)
Michael D Posted May 21, 2015 Author Report Posted May 21, 2015 Karl, that music triggers some intense emotions with me. That is the music of the Cisco TAC black hole http://www.theatlantic.com/technology...
Karl Stallknecht Posted May 21, 2015 Report Posted May 21, 2015 Haha yeah I read all about that a while ago. Quite amusing.
2600Hz Employees Aaron Gunn Posted June 6, 2015 2600Hz Employees Report Posted June 6, 2015 Hi Michael, Call barge & whisper are generally features associated with Call Center functionality, and we are aware of the utility. While I can't discuss roadmap on community, please keep an eye on this space for further developments down the line.
Marie Posted November 13, 2017 Report Posted November 13, 2017 Anything new on providing Barge feature? We have many customers requesting Barge feature. We also use Barge on a daily basis on our legacy phones.
