bway Posted November 2, 2017 Report Posted November 2, 2017 Has anyone ever experience issues recording the VM Greeting for a VVX500? Whenever I try to record the greeting, it is always delayed about 8-10 seconds after the signal prompt to record is heard. I was able to replicate this issue within 2 different Network environment, with multiple phones VVX500 phones. After 8-10 seconds a static is heard on the phone, this is when the recording actually starts. Quote
SPC-Tim Posted November 2, 2017 Report Posted November 2, 2017 @bway Polycom had some firmware issues with delayed audio about a year ago, do you know what firmware the phones are running? Quote
Karl Stallknecht Posted November 2, 2017 Report Posted November 2, 2017 (edited) Funny timing...we went back and forth a TON with 2600hz trying to figure out what was going on here last month. We had the exact same issue. Turns out, the VVX 500s have video conferencing enabled by default (funny considering they require an external camera, but oh well). When you call voicemail and try to record a greeting, it sits there waiting for the camera to connect and then eventually fails. Add this to your custom config file and you'll be good to go :-) video.enable="0" Edited November 2, 2017 by Karl Stallknecht (see edit history) Quote

sporkman Posted November 2, 2017 Report Posted November 2, 2017 How do we go about having 2600 correct this via the provisioner? This would save everyone running this phone a ton of troubleshooting time I would think! Quote
