Michael D Posted April 22, 2015 Report Posted April 22, 2015 Is it possible to move DIDs/numbers/TNs from a Parent account to a sub account and vice versa in Number Manager?
Mike Leuthner Posted April 22, 2015 Report Posted April 22, 2015 Yes. In Numbers manger there in a Move button so you can transfer numbers from one account to another.
Michael D Posted April 22, 2015 Author Report Posted April 22, 2015 I'm not able to move the DIDs from a customer /sub account up to a parent account
2600Hz Employees Carol English Ochoa Posted April 22, 2015 2600Hz Employees Report Posted April 22, 2015 I believe you can only move numbers to another account on the same level. The functionality you want has been requested, but it has not come out yet. Currently if you need to move a DID to a parent account, you'll have to send us a support request.
Karl Stallknecht Posted April 23, 2015 Report Posted April 23, 2015 See https://getsatisfaction.com/2600hz/topics/moving-dids-between-accounts-odd-behaviorIn this scenario I was moving from our master account to a sub-account and experienced this odd behavior. I haven't tried moving from a sub account to our master account though.
Marie Posted April 28, 2015 Report Posted April 28, 2015 I have been able to accomplish this by going to the sub account and removing the number. It will move it to your Main-root account. (run Sync if number still shows in use or in both accounts) It will prompt you to set a number for 911 information and you can do this by adding another temporary number.
Michael D Posted April 28, 2015 Author Report Posted April 28, 2015 Marie, did you delete the number from the numbers under smartPBX , or numbers manager?
Marie Posted April 29, 2015 Report Posted April 29, 2015 I only Removed the number - using the SmartPBX. Note: in one scenario, I Deleted the sub account and after some time, the number that was on that account was displayed in the Number Manager. I never Deleted the number itself.
Michael D Posted April 29, 2015 Author Report Posted April 29, 2015 @Marie, thanks for the ideas, I will test further
