Jack Noe Posted July 26, 2017 Report Posted July 26, 2017 I see these new options here ringback, number of times to ring members. Anyone tried this?
Tuly Posted August 2, 2017 Report Posted August 2, 2017 anyone know what the new option in ring group "Number of times to ring members" is?
Administrators mc_ Posted August 2, 2017 Administrators Report Posted August 2, 2017 I believe it allows you to retry the ring group if no one answers in the allotted timeout before progressing to the next callflow action. So if you set it to 2, it would ring the group, timeout, ring the group again, then continue the callflow.
2600Hz Employees JR^ Posted August 2, 2017 2600Hz Employees Report Posted August 2, 2017 It's just exposing the "repeats" field that was added to ring groups. https://docs.2600hz.com/dev/applications/callflow/doc/ring_group/ It's a little confusing because the default value is "repeats: 1" and means the ring group won't repeat. So the front-end labelled it as "Number of times to ring numbers" because it's a better description.
Administrators Darren Schreiber Posted August 3, 2017 Administrators Report Posted August 3, 2017 Yes, this was actually a community contribution. Someone wanted a simple ability to ring groups of people repeatedly, up to a limited number of times. It's kind of a poor-man's call center.
