So. you set a User in Smart PBX. But you program buttons with Advanced Provisioner + You have Yealink T46S phones.

boss1 X 102
boss2 x 103
You go into Advanced Provisioner - Secratary's Phone -> Configure -> Combo Keys ->
Don't do ANYTHING with Key 1
Key 2 might be a PARK key.
Key 3 might be a PARK key
Key 4 BLF key for Boss 1
Type = BLF
Account = Account 1 (Make sure to Select Account 1, instead of "Inherit"!!
Value = 102 (This is the User Extension of Boss 1)
Label = Boss 1 (This is what shows up on the Phone)
Key 5 BLF key for Boss 2
Type = BLF
Account = Account 1 (Make sure to Select Account 1, instead of "Inherit"!!
Value = 103 (This is the User Extension of Boss 2)
Label = Boss 2 (This is what shows up on the Phone)
Click Save
Restart Phone
Hope that helps!

@avig2That is correct.
The question I have for you is, "For this account that you are speaking of, are you using 'Smart PBX' or 'Advanced Callflows' ?"
We can help guide based upon that info.

Thanks for the confirmation @Darren Schreiber .
-
@Darren Schreiber ok. Things had been working nicely for quite awhile, between 2) Yealink T58V's on the same account... but now they freeze right away. After May 14th some time.
So, trying to figure it out now.
-
@Darren Schreiber Is the status of "Unsupported" on the 2600hz Hosted Cluster still the same?

Ok, I'll try that. So factory reset, add a new device and then set up combo keys in Advanced Provisioner.
You mentioned earlier that if you set up a config in Advanced Provisioner and then also in Smart PBX then
Smart will override Advanced. If that happens could I just change Smart back to defaults and start using the
advanced provisioner again?
Thanks
@avig2 SETUP THE PHONE FIRST!!
Not yelling, just making sure you see it!
then
Facotory Reset

Yes. Change the Smart PBX to default.
Then go into Advanced Provisioner and change the Combo Keys.
This will get the keys done properly.
You can set the Combo Keys at any time, even before the factory reset.
Let us know how it goes!
-
@avig2 If you change the DSS keys in the web interface of the phone. I think that makes the Provisioning Mute.
Try doing a factory reset on the phones. Let reboot a couple of times with the changes from either provisioner (again, stick to one.)
That might fix it for you.
(Factory reset. Press OK for 5 - 10 seconds. At the "factory reset" question. Press OK.

Thanks for the response!
I do have access to Advanced Provisoner, I only used it to set the device and assign it to a user.
I manually set up each users extenstion in SmartPBX
Since its a small office the customer wants all the phones the ring simultaneously, but that's just in case the secretary isn't there to answer it.
So this is my set up:
1. I added everyone to a "Group" and set the "Incoming Call Handling" to ring the "Group". In the Group, you can have the Secretary ring first and a delay on all the other users of 5 seconds. Something like this. Future CEntury rings right away (your secretary) then Current Century rings after 4 seconds (your regular users that need to answer the phone) then Past Century rings after 8 seconds (your executive/owner).
2. On the phone itself manually set up the DSS Keys with everyones extension as "intercom" since they don't want or need the ringing. BLF of a User will NOT ring the phone the BLF is on. I think you might want to switch to that.
This is where I need help (well at least for now)
In the current set up if a call comes in and the secretary answers, there aren't any other "lines" set up for other calls. (The call will come in, and she can Park the 1st Call and answer the second call. OR She can Answer the 2nd call {first call is placed on hold on the phone automatically} then she can tell the second caller to "please hold" and place the second call on Park 1, then she would "Resume" the first call)
She would like the for the "Incoming call handling" to ring a general line (three general lines). "Thank you for calling Kazoo, the number one retailer of kazoo's in the North East, please hold, call 2 comes in, " Thank you for call Kazoo etc.." If setting up the Keys as "Park" does the job that is fine. See note above. The 3 Park keys would then allow another user to pickup that call easily.
Also, I"m not so familiar with BLF, can it be used in conjuction with an extension set up with lets say "conference" So with BLF keys, that allows you to see when someone is on the phone. With Yealinks specifically the following is allowed also. If you are on with a call, you can press that BLF key, and the call will be Blind Transferred to that User. An alternative is to make a change on the T46S through the web-interface (or through your own config file) that changes the Behavior of the BLF key, so that It would be an "Attended Transfer" i/e, If you are on with a call, you can press that BLF key, your phone will call the User (the caller will be hearing Music on HOLD) and you annouce the call to the user, if they accept, you can hit "Transfer" or "Conference" and the caller would either be "Transferred" or you will have your 3 way Conference.
I guess what I really require - Instructions and/or template on how to set this up in the config file and upload it to Advance Provisioner (I think it need to go to "view config files and make the changes there, but i"m not positive). Once you go to config in Advanced Provisioner of a Phone, do NOT go back to Smart PBX Combo keys. The settings will get over-written.
Thanks!
Advanced Provisioner -> Combo Key More Options
Make sure to select Account 1
Smart PBX - Devices - Config - Advanced - Combo Keys = Fewer Selections
@avig2 Hope that helps you out!
The Advanced Provisioner has a GUI. You can edit the GUI and it creates the Config file.
-
@avig2 Do you have access to advanced provisioner?
If so, most of these items are doable remotely, other's you will need to make changes to the phone.
1) The platform doesn't do "Line" keys. Do you want these to be Park Slots? (So a call comes in and rings all 3 phones. Phone 1 picks up call, all other phones are blank, unless they have a BLF for phone 1. Phone one presses Park 1. All other phones see Park 1 red, and can pickup that call by pressing Park 1)
2) By "Intecom" do you mean key's BLF's that show when a person is on the phone?
3) This is done on the Yealink's. There is a "Blind transfer" or "Attended Transfer" for BLF keys. Normally if you haven't touched anything, it is set up for Blind Transfer, so you should be goog.
4) The SIP username can be changed, but it would be less secure. If you have a phone associated with a user, then the User's NAME will display when they call another extension. Also the "LABEL" portion of advanced provisioner on the Combo Key section will be what the BLF key will display on the phone.
Each of the phones would be modified with advanced provisioner, saved, and you can restart the phones.

Hi
we are also interested in such a feature , would be much more user friendly to send FAX using WEB rather than Email to Fax way.
BTW Is there an API for it?
@nick You could definitely do it with API. ( I have no skills on that )
-
@Mark Magnusson Zoho CRM would be cool!
Integration.
Call comes into phone
A popup with the customer record (or new record pop's up)
User types in notes and hit's done/complete, etc.
Popup Goes away.
Record is updated with the notes. (probably some details already filled out from Kazoo, like time called, duration, etc..

Oh, I'm trying) Fore example, user have two devices sip and mobile. Call comes to sip, user decline call and call comes to mobile. I need when user decline call on sip the call is over.
@Yuriy as @mc_ mentioned, you would create the Ring Group with Device's instead of Users.
If you have multiple devices in the ring group, by rejecting the call from one device, the other device's would still ring, that is how that works.
Let us know if we can further assist!

Thanks @Darren Schreiber! Very happy to hear that!
5 minutes ago, Darren Schreiber said:Sorry about that, I'm running billing now manually.
I have still been doing it manually since it rolled out just to check it every month. I have also been giving people complimentary credit when they are below their balance until the features I promised are rolled out (hence why I do it manually).
Your clients are NOT impacted.
Here here!! Thanks for being extra careful. Appreciate your concern for our customers!

Allowing to set the date is cool. I prefer like 7 days ahead (but that's just paranoia me)
Also, emails at day 5,3,2,1 IF the amount in the account, isn't enough to cover the expected monthly charge. (Better an email, than having to call us all! )
p.p.s. I know some people have "Succession Planning" but what if some whitelabeler's doesn't have a plan if they are, I/E: I croak and my card is...well, I better get to that soon, eh!

Hopefully something to the affect is in the works!
Topped off my account for good measure.

HI
can we use AudioCodes Fax ATA MP-202B HTTPSFAX
That would be cool.
-
@extremerotary As you know of course. The User Ring seconds is where that is done.
Smart PBX User - Ringing Timeout
SecAdvanced Call Flows - Callflow to User - "Ring this user's devices for seconds."
So, if you are using advanced call flows and doing the *72,*74 option, can you change the amount of rings... not sure.

I apologize @TJ Forsman. The Picture was to represent where the "Virtual Assitant" could be added by the Smart PBX developers.
I did not mean to say use SmartPBXDirectory and it would work.
Hope that clarifies.
I see your point of the need. And was just adding a picture of where that option would go, for the developers.
esoare
p.s. That is just a Directory.

as @Baze stated. You would need to discuss with 2600hz to get them as apps.
If you are on Hosted servers talk with your Rep
If you run your own servers talk with " contact @ 2600hz.com " (remove spaces to get the real email) www.2600hz.com
Hope that helps @digitauusa .
If you are in a different scenario than above, please let us know.

I want to block a block of numbers on an account. Thanks for posting your solution to question 2!!!
Question 1: outgoing blocking
1) you want to block a few outgoing numbers from all phones?
2) you want to block a few outgoing numbers from some phones?
3) you want to block some phones from making outgoing calls?

After doing some more testing i have found if you press an option that is not defined that it says invalid entry and then repeats the virtual receptionist. I can probably make this work but would be nice to define it in smart pbx. Let me know if anyone else has got this working.
Something like this?
@Mark Magnusson I forget who the Smaert PBX master is, but perhaps you could ask them to join in.
Another option that would be nice (highjack thread alert) is in the User + Call Forwarding
Have the check box for (ring desk phone also)!
Had to mozy over to Advanced Call Flows, to tick that box in the User.

Well @avig2 you may want to wait.
There seems to be some problem with Advanced Provisioner at this time. Not sure if anyone else could verify@Plau ^^^^ 1 phone not getting configs to phones/changes.
